    Shopping

The Coffs Coast offers a wealth of shopping experiences.

Park Beach Plaza just off the Pacific Highway in Coffs Harbour is the largest regional shopping centre between Newcastle and the Gold Coast. It boasts around 120 shops including national chainstores, exclusive boutiques and supermarkets, a 250-seat food court, Australia Post and branches of the major banks. There is free parking with no time limits and the complex is open seven days a week.

The Palms Shopping Centre in Coffs Harbour's city centre also contains Coles, Australia Post and Big W as well as a range of clothes, books, music and jewellery stores. The Palms Centre is situated in Harbour Drive - Coffs main thoroughfare and retail area. Oposite the Palms Centre is the landscaped, shady cafe quarter of City Square in which you can enjoy a reviving coffee or meal.

Closer to the Jetty area is the Promenade shopping and restaurant complex overlooking picturesque Coffs Creek. Unique jewellery, designer outlets, exclusive homewares and silks from Asia can all be found at the Promenade.

As well as its colourful markets, Bellingen's main streets are an eclectic mix of famous designer names and original arts and crafts outlets. A highlight is the historic Hammond and Wheatley Emporium an almost untouched, nineteenth century department store housing jewellery and homewares from all over the world as well as top-class clothing ranges.

The seaside village of Sawtell is a haven of small, local shops selling everything from aboriginal art to recycled quality clothes. Shaded by massive Moreton Bay fig trees, Sawtell's First Avenue is also packed with top-class restaurants and cafes.

Nearby is Toormina Gardens Shopping Centre, a well-sited, food-based convenience centre with plenty of parking.

Further south along the Highway is the town of Nambucca whose attractive main street includes a wide variety of stores, cafes, restaurants and banks. For supermarket shopping, there is also the Nambucca Plaza Shopping centre.
